I recently had an issue at your Adelaide Toronto location with Jennifer, the site manager, regarding a unit transfer. I upgraded from a 6x5 to a 5x10 unit that was clearly advertised online with a 12-week promotional rate, yet was told after signing paperwork that promotions do not apply to transfers—something that was never disclosed beforehand. I had not even moved in yet, so there was no reason why the smaller unit couldn’t simply be cancelled and the larger one rented under the promotion. Instead of being offered solutions, I was met with dismissive comments such as, “What am I supposed to do?”
Jennifer only attempted to find a solution after I said I would be contacting head office about both the issue and her behavior. She also gave me false information about how to contact head office, telling me “The email is the same as here.” That is false. Any email sent to the Adelaide location would have gone directly to her, meaning my complaint would have gone nowhere.
This is not the first time I have experienced unprofessional behavior from this individual, and while other staff such as Jeff have always been excellent, my repeated negative experiences with Jennifer highlight a clear and ongoing issue. There are many more specifics I can provide, but I will be taking this matter to your head office to have it properly addressed.

We’ve been renting at Apple Self Storage for our business since 2022 and couldn’t be happier. Jennifer, Dianne, and Jeff are always friendly and go above and beyond to help with any requests. If you’re looking for storage downtown, definitely check them out!
The staff were very helpful. They answered all my questions promptly and they were very friendly. They organize the location very well.
The payment cycle is misleading.
The location has about 4 loading bays and 2 large freight elevators, all of which can get very busy.
The storage space, access to storage are good. BUT the Management service are terrible. Yes, the web site note you the month for the Apple Self Storage is 4 weeks, 4-weeks sounds like a month, but it only 28 days, every month they will stole 2-3 days, for a 5 month it will be half of month, for year it will be one more month, they have more than 13 "months" in year, brilliant. And guess what? You can't cover only the gap, you should pay full period 4 weeks. And web site allow to you pay for a "month", they show to you next bill date (real +1 month), which will be changed after the payment XDDDD they will stole 2-3 days from your month, is the web site is public offer? I'm not a layer, but that's looks like a scam. And nobody's care, only profit. I not recommend Apple Self Storage.

Upd2: I already contact with you via email, before write this review and got an answer from Jennifer Bakos. You have no options to partial payments. On the screenshot you can see my unit number and get my email from your database. But I can't imagine what we can discuss? I gifted you 1 monthly cost, but I will happy if someone be noticed of it and safe their money.
All I can say is clean unit and efficient service from all agents I dealt with.
My partner and I had the average unit with a great discount first month but I ended up on keeping my belongings for extra 3 months!

These folks are amazing. They onboarded me really quick and showed me around. The facility is kept in great shape and there's video surveillance everywhere.
I was sure my items are in good hands with Apple Storage.
Not great. My unit was broken into and some of my items were stolen. No interest or recourse from staff. The high insurance deductible is about equal to the value of items stolen. Pretty sketchy
I went today, I met JEFF, he assisted me with all the information and he showed me all the units, then he discussed with me what is more convenient for me. He helped me so much. I really recommend him.

The staff are friendly and helpful, their rates are lower than most of their competitors, they offer boxes, locks and other packing supplies you might need...
And you get 24 hour secure access 7 days a week!

I’m removing all my things from my storage unit on a Sunday. Taking a bit of time. Mind you, the access hours are posted NOWHERE. Literally nowhere.
I’ve already cleared out the last of my stuff and at 10pm am loading the last of my stuff into my car and cargo trailer in the open air loading area. Security comes along and tells me I’m not allowed to be there past 10. I tell him I’m just finishing up loading my car and should only be a few more minutes. Meanwhile, he’s taking photos of me, my stuff, my car, my trailer because he needs to file an “incident report” like I’m some kind of criminal.
Probably sometime around 10:20 when everything is loaded and after he’s gone back and forth with presumably the head security office in some ivory tower, after talk of calling the police on me for this serious infraction has already come up (I mean, is he expecting me to just abandon all my stuff sitting on the cart?), I make sure to get myself on video talking to him confirming that I may leave and the police are not coming. (Obviously, I’m not leaving if he’s called the police and I’m going to stay to talk to them about the absolute absurdity of this entire situation.) He says I should go, and the police are not coming. So, at about 10:20pm, I left. It’s so insanely absurd - I would never rent from this company again (I’ve had probably a dozen units from various companies over the years and just have never been treated this way.)
I’m leaving Canada for a few years for Europe but man, what a “don’t let the door hit you on the way out” from Apple Self Storage.
TLDR: If you want to be treated like a criminal and rent from a hostile environment in which apparently human beings aren’t able to either talk to each other or cut each other a little slack (especially since access hours are posted NOWHERE), then you’ll love it here.

I was new to storage and quite stressed and on the intake not only they(Jennifer) made me feel comfortable, but also recommended the right size and saved me money. They also went as far to verify my lock.
Now on move out day, Jeff, was very helpful, saw me waiting for my movers and came to make sure everything is great.
