I am renting a storage unit at this location and I received a call from Nick that my locker door was not locked properly and he prompted me to come immediately and lock it up. Thank you for looking out for me. I appreciate the amazing work!!!
Came here booked through call centre and when I got here they I found out that the call centre created so many issues for us and when we got there nick was able to navigate and help us out he was super kind and welcoming and he really helped us out and made my life 10x more easier the call centre truly created many issues and I wouldn’t reccomend using them to reserve I would reccomend u just walk in and save the headache. I truly appreciated nicks effort and great customer service.

This place is absolutely unsafe to store your staff (previous reviews) and to be there as a customer. Because Nick will just slam the door on your shoulder. Nick was very disrespectful and unprofessional in doing his job. His aggressive behavior and attitude lead him to close the unit door on my shoulder .Nick should be fired immediately. He also pointed his finger at me and didn't even apologize for his wrongdoing. I called the distributor manager, and he said, "I can't help you. You should call the police." Well done.
Of all the storage facilities I have seen, this is by far the best. Very well lit, clean and good place inside the unit with high ceiling.

We were in a last-minute position to get a storage space today. When we arrived the gentleman at front was so helpful. He showed us the space and went through everything with high detail. Customer serivce was a 10 out 10. I would highly recommend using smart shop.
Nicolas is the most efficient and kind person I’ve met in a long time. His customer service was a chef’s kiss. It was my first time and because he thoroughly answered all of my annoying questions, I was able to make the right decision and got exactly what I needed. This meant a lot, because I’m an indecisive person and the fact he took his time when he could’ve been short and annoyed he let me be me. He was patient, well informed and friendly. I would definitely recommend this place to others. The staff were very pleasant. Nick was very helpful. He patiently answered all my questions, and possess a full knowledge of the company and it's policy. Not to mention, their prices are reasonable compare to others.
I had a great experience at smart shop the other day. I wasn't fully sure of what storage would be the best size for the amount of things I had, lucky for me Nicholas was there to help me . His Customer service is on point . Very informative. Need more guys like him man absolutely do thanks Nick.
I have been with the Mavis Rd facility for 2 and a half years. My downsizing to another unit involved a few heavy pieces which needed to be removed before the 6 PM (computer input) closing. While working on my own to empty the unit, I wondered how was it possible to empty the present one, and into the next unit by closing, as my other helpers could not make it there before closing time. I had no idea that while I was hoping for a miracle, that Nick was also thinking of how he could help me avoid a full payment, and time was a factor. I was amazed when Nick brought someone to help me with the final 3 heavy pieces. Then Tania and Nick came back with the lift pump to make the job even easier. I thought I had won the lottery for sure! I said to Chris, my helper, that just a few minutes ago I had no way of completing the job before closing time yet, because of the collaboration of Nick and Tania I not only vacated the unit way ahead of closing time, I also saved on the extra charges because he (Chris) agreed to help me. Nick and I agreed that God doesn't come but he surely sends at the right time in the form of Nick, Tania, and Chris. I am satisfied beyond my expectations. Thank you all for the great teamwork. I have been renting for 6 months so my monthly rate just jumped from $132 to $206, yet when I look online the same size unit is being offered for $153 + a free month. Do the math, 1 month free so 5x153=765. Divide by 6= 127.50 per month, which is less than I'm paying now. When I call to complain no one seems to get it!
I would not recommend this place to anyone. I have been at that location since Dec 28, 2018, paying $117.00/month they had a promo going on 50% for 3 months. Then August 2019 increased to $170.18 February 2020 increased to $193.91 for a 10 x 15.
Had complained to them for one year that I needed more light the one in the hallway was burnt out and they said that they will look into it.
I spoke to someone else and she said that she had been complaining for 3 years. So then I thought this will never replace it, the light in the storage itself was on a timer & there was only on light because the other one was burnt out and was too hard to replace!! I just had it with them they increase their prices but never fix what needs to be fixed.
So I had to give them 10 days before moving out, as per the contract, so June 6 was my last day. I am still waiting for a credit, I have been going back and forth with them. They are so frustrating as they never reply back to the emails. I received an email from them saying:
Dear Client, Since we moved you out of the system on June 7, 2020, and we pro-rate only the first 6 days. Therefore, unfortunately, we are unable to provide you refund for the remaining days. Please feel free to reply back if you have further questions.... we I did and still nothing. I had sent them an email on June 6 at night including a picture showing them I had moved out. June 23 they still have not replied.
If I have to rent a storage unit again I would rather pay a bit more and have a better service. This was the worst experience ever...
This storage is a scam, I put my stuff there travelled to the US to be for a month, but unfortunately for me I stayed pass a month. The owns brake my lock lock, and put theirs. when i came back after 2 months I paid the rest of my balance, but realised must of my valuable stuff were missing. They told me there was a series of robberies at the storage December and even claimed they know who did the robbery, that my case will be handled by the insurance since I had paid for the coverage. but the insurance is saying they will not pay since there was no force entering. Anyone putting their stuff in this storage is doing so at there risk.

These people who operates this brand and facilities are thieves, crooks, out right dishonest. They black mail me, and was using me as pawnshop to get clients at there facilities. The made me homeless and was collecting my rent every month, I did not know what was happening, Management and Staff they are very dishonest.
Management and Staff uses me to full this facility, they try on many occasions to set me up as a thief, but fail, then give me eviction notice, try raising my rent, before it's time.
I was at this facility from October 20th 2012 to June 30th 2016. Just over 44 months.
This facility is a storage den of thieves Management and staffs are criminals. They are part of a criminal movement in Canada.

DONT GET STORAGE HERE got 10 x 5 over 3 years ago price raises every 8 month by $20.00 i paid $90 now im paying $150 there contract states they can hire rent every 8 months from last date. They get you to sign cheap and raise it over the years.
This is a very safe and well maintained storage facility. The staff is amazing, very friendly and helpful.
