Don’t bother renting from this place, recent changes price hike for the worst services in town in the name of rising cost.
I have unit with a door that can barely open, non heated, you can’t dump anything on site as a tenant and cost are going up is pure greed.
Other facilities are offering heated units bigger and cheaper than what the offers, I wish them luck with their business I’m done with this place.
I went to Diamond mini storage on Thurs, June 19th and arrived at 4:00pm. I secured a storage unit. I then drove 1.5 hours to Portage to load my things and another 1.5 hours on the way back. I arrived at the facility at 8:00pm. The final call to enter the premises through the gate is at 8:45. The gate was chain locked shut. I cannot take my things back where I came from. I stayed there from 8:00pm - 9:00pm. No one showed. I watched person after person come to access their things and none of us were able to. I have also had a storage unit at International Self Storage on Airport rd and C Street. They are both owned by the same entity. The gate was always broken at that facility the entire time I had my unit. The gate is broken at this facility as well. These guys think its ok to play with peoples lives and neglect having a secured gate at all. They dont care about anything. I will not give these jack ass's another chance. I want a full refund and you guys are also going to compensate me for my gas back and forth. You should also be compensating me for the wasted miles on my brand new truck. Worst storage facility in Anchorage! Do not store your things here!!!!!!!
This place is GREAT if you want to end up trapped behind the gate with no one in the company answering any calls. 10/10 would recommend if you’ve ever wondered what prison feels like.
I wouldn't give this storage any stars theres storages less than this and even work with people when they are in a struggle , people don't have places to keep there things and that's what they take advantage of and adding extra fees when not necessary, good luck to anybody that rents a storage here!!!
Replying to this doesn't change anything this is the truth and previous post show that instread of responding get some better ways to help the people that are renting storages and evan more with the Anchorage living and homelessness my opinion stands end of conversation thanks for trying

Despite the fact that things have gone downhill since the company was bought out by an outside money hungry entity, the current office crew is great. Jade is amazing and goes above and beyond and Ray continues to make sure everything stays in working condition.

My Hyundai Venue was vandalized back in March. After getting my car fixed from Lithia Hyundai I did not feel safe parking my car in my Condo parking lot since two other Hyundais had been vandalized. Dimond Mini Storage was a safe place to store my car while I saved for a security system. The staff is professional, courteous and very accommodating. I highly recommend them for all your storage needs.
I called to ask about temporary storage, whoever I spoke to on the phone was very impatient and rude. He said they were closed today when their hours clearly say close at 6pm. I asked a simple question in regard to their rental options. Didn't even bother to explain anything and said to call back another day. They rudely hung up on me. They are ruthless owners. Please don't waste your money here, there are better storage options elsewhere.
I have used Dimond Mini Storage for almost two decades. It is well-run (especially with the new manager) and convenient from various parts of town (especially with the new highway access). The staff is friendly, and the manager is very accessible and accommodating in multiple ways. If there are any issues, they are quickly resolved by fixes or by alternative solutions offered. The pricing is competitive. Access is good in all seasons or is quickly remedied. I definitely recommend considering this place to keep your belongings in temporary or long-term storage.
These guys cut me a deal. They are friendly and actually knew who i was everytime i came it. The background check would of made me not able to rent, but they were so impressed by my kids and their good manners and attitudes they rented to me. Will definitely be using them again. I lovea business with excellent customer service.
