my husband went missing While our things were stored here and he has the only key and because the unit is in his name Sentinel wouldn't let me break the lock to move our Stuff to a more affordable facility without getting a letter notarized by a lawyer stating that I was his next of kin and can handle his affairs in his absence. Making it so that our fees lapse and they take the locker from us making sure that I lose everything we own, only because a police report isn't good enough for them stating that my husband is a missing person. Thanks Sentinel!! Not only are your prices totally out to lunch, but your policies are horrendous!! Oh and I forgot to mention that all of this is going on regardless of the fact that they were planning on evicting us because my husband stayed there over night because after 11pm their gate won't let a customer out of the facility making it so that whoever is in there is FORCED to be in there all night unless they scale the fence. Which I'm sure my husband had to do the last time any activity was seen of him. Sentinel is terrible!! Stay away from them... find storage elsewhere!!

Outstanding customer service. I had a storage unit booked for a later date but due to the buyer of our place needing an earlier possession date I needed the unit earlier than anticipated. Richard was able to accommodate the new timeline which resolved a very stressful situation. The unit was clean and exactly what we needed. Thank you

I have been using storage companies all across Canada and America for about 20 years. Sentinel has proven that they offer good secure storage systems and solutions for probably the best prices/ft. That however is not what has spawned this review. 2024: in a world where social skills and customer service values are at an all time low, within sentinel storage resides an employee that takes every persons (doesn’t even have to be a customer yet) issues or needs as a top priority! He knows what his company can provide, he works with the client seamlessly, and should an issue arise…… making the call to him I guarantee will have a smile on your face by the culmination of the conversation! RICHARD (and never use a short form for his name because he is anything but that). Thank you for being the awesome charismatic purveyor of storage solutions and also a man of the people! I truly hope your team sees what I have seen and knows the gem they have running the business like you do! Keep up the great work man. I dare not stray from sentinel storage because I know how committed to my satisfaction you are for me to be there! 10/10 would recommend

We were looking to confirming arrangements for storage and checking that the documentation was correct. I initially spoke with Linda who was very professional, upbeat and helpful. We went to the office to complete the transaction and obtain our entry code. Richard was in the Stony Plain office at the time who explained everything we needed to know, from contract details to buying a padlock for our storage unit. Richard was so helpful, professional, upbeat and very customer oriented. He even threw in a couple of jokes. It was a pleasure dealing with Richard and would not hesitate to use Sentinel again in the future. Thank you so much Richard

It’s my first time using their storage Edmonton West 21010-100 Avenue Edmonton and Lori the manager helped me to go through the process, it was quick and she’s very easy easy to talk to and she explains it well to me. Very knowledgeable on her job, I am super pleased. I highly recommend this storage to anyone.

The manager Lori was very nice, and easy to talk to. We ended up chatting for a while and she was so informative when going over the rental agreement, and she made me laugh, she's so funny and gives great examples of where and why the rules are how they are. It was a nice experience , very refreshing! Their promotion is amazing right now and was the savings grace for me this month. Richard also basically saved my life in a desperate time of need. They are accommodating and always look out and want to help their customers. I recommend these guys to anyone and everyone wondering if they should get a storage. If you're looking at reviews wondering should I go here, your answer is right in the pudding......YES !

Richard and Lori are the best for customer service. They have all the answers regarding storage rentals! Any questions when asked they know how to respond in a very understanding and polite manner. They have good ears for listening to anything we have to say! I am so grateful for their service.

I can't remember the ladies name but she was awesome. They didn't have what we needed but she did everything she could to help us. We finally were able to find a storage unit that could accommodate our needs. Extremely grateful and happy for her help. If anyone I know asks for a storage unit recommendation I will be pointing them in her direction.

Highly recommend this storage facility! We moved our mom from BC to a retirement residence in Edmonton, AB in late spring 2022. We chose the Sentinel Storage facility in Edmonton west-end (210 Street and 100 Avenue). When we arrived, we were pleasantly surprised to see that the storage units at this location remained DRY through the spring thaw! The staff and management were friendly, knowledgeable, and most helpful. They listened to our needs, showed us unit options, and explained in detail the payments and promos so that we could make an informed decision before finalizing the unit. They were also very patient and helpful with our mom’s particular paperwork needs and payment process. Their kind understanding was greatly appreciated and calming at a stressful time for our family. We have been storing things in the unit for over a year and a half and we have been to the storage unit multiple times. The unit has continued to remain dry and worry-free. The facility site is set up for convenient access to the units and has always been clean and well maintained every day we have been to the site. The staff and management are always happy to help and answer any questions, whether in person or over the phone. They take pride in running their facility and it shows!

I currently rent 4 storage bays at Sentinel Storage at the West Edmonton Location. I have rented storage space there for over 30 years for my business and personal items. The current manager, Brent, hasn't been at the facility for very long and he has already had a big impact on the facility. He has taken steps to ensure that the place is safe and secure, checking the fencing and ensuring the gate works properly. He has added additional security cameras and he actually checks the video that the cameras take. He discovered a tenant that was doing some shady things and had them immediately evicted. I was at the facility late that cold evening and he was outside keeping eyes on them as they removed their belongings. They were making quite a mess and a scene as they were doing this. He came over to talk with me and to reassure me. He made sure I knew what was happening and that he was taking care of it and that I felt comfortable and safe. He has also made sure the units are clean. He has gotten the floors in the hallways and empty units painted. He has had pavement repaired too. He quickly had someone come to repair a light in my newest unit and had a wonky door fixed for me. Yesterday his Assistant was out spreading ice melt through the parking lot, for which I thanked her. Brent and the staff are always friendly, polite and welcoming. Brent always offers me help if I need to move anything too heavy. Thank you very much to Brent and the staff for ensuring that I have a clean, safe and secure place to store my belongings!!! Ruth Diduck

Convenient location. Very friendly staff. Don't like the mice in my unit. And the price is too expensive for me to be storing items that I really don't need.
