I got last minute cancelled from Quebec, and downsized from 15 to 10ft truck. But the Everett is very helpful, and made a call for 10 mins, switched back to the 15ft with an auto tow. Very helpful, he really try his best to help customers

Very bad experience. Non transparent people, they rejected me even having reservation confirmation. I drove down from Toronto to Kingston to pick up a motorcycle and I need the wiring for the trailer to be installed, they call me before one hour while I’m more than halfway to tell me the system is down we cannot install the wiring. After I arrived I asked if I can rent a trailer and he young man said yes so the system is working then I told him I need to install the wiring then a rude lady came and say didn’t I call you earlier to not to come. I was trying to understand what going on, another young man confused that they reject the wiring installation because it takes more work! Non transparent, rude and unprofessional service. They ruined my whole day.

The two associates that assisted my parents in picking up a trailer oh which one was on crutches, made the entire transaction start to finish a total breeze without worry. Trailer was clean and in good working order. Was very efficient for our needs. I believe the names of the associates were Ethan and Tyler and a big thanks goes to them for absolutely no hassle!

Well... lesson learned the hard way about U-Haul. Back in November, my father spoke directly with a scheduling manager and arranged a 2-day truck rental to move me again. Last year we had immense trouble with them and they couldn’t offer us the truck rental so we were planning ahead and giving them another chance. Then yesterday my dad got an email saying it's been changed to 5 hours. Everyone knows that’s not how student housing moves work here you aren't in and out on the same day. No call. No discussion. Just changed. When he called them, he was told there's "no record" of the original conversation - so apparently it never happened. And the explanation? They "don't allow multi-day rentals to ensure availability for everyone." That makes zero sense. If anything, it feels like a policy designed to maximize turnover and revenue - not actually serve customers who plan ahead. Best they could offer us? A trailer. Not even close to what we arranged and the same issue that caused us huge issues last year. Don't rely on U-Haul, even if you think you've booked properly. I won't be using them again.

To make matters worse, the only alternative offered was a trailer — despite the fact that I had clearly arranged for a truck months in advance. I was forced to scramble and secure alternate arrangements at the last minute. Thankfully, I had other options. If I didn’t, this could have created a serious problem. The bottom line: you cannot rely on U-Haul, even when you plan ahead and speak directly with their staff. Given my professional background, I regularly interact with individuals and organizations that require dependable transportation solutions. I will not be recommending U-Haul and will be sharing this experience when asked. There are far more reliable options out there.
