fine for storage although expensive, i paid until the end of may but moved my vehicle early from outside storage. i told them id keep the move out date for the end of the month because i paid for it until then, but they called me and put me as moved out early, so i got charged for the entire month for notta nothing

My experience with Access Storage in Sudbury has always been great. The units are good and the staff make the process easy. The Manager at this location is friendly with exceptional customer service skills. Would not hesitate to use again.

This was the feedback I shared with access storage and my experience. It was VERY poor and honestly ridiculous. I am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction with my recent experience at your facility. Unfortunately, it was far from pleasant and stands in stark contrast to prior storage experiences I have had elsewhere, which were handled professionally and efficiently. To explain the situation clearly: my belongings were already stored in a friend’s double unit. When my friend decided to vacate the unit, I arranged to take over storage myself. I was informed that no single units were available and that a double unit would need to be split into two individual units regardless. Given that my belongings were already occupying one side of the existing double unit—and my friend was physically present, having already removed all of his items—I requested that his file simply be closed and that the now-vacant portion be reopened under my name. This would have avoided any unnecessary handling or movement of my belongings. Despite this being a logical and efficient solution, the manager refused, stating that because my items were already in the unit, I would be required to remove everything into the hallway before any administrative changes could be made. This requirement was unreasonable and completely unnecessary given that the unit was already being split and the space was already occupied by my belongings. As a result of this decision, I was forced to move my entire storage contents two units down into a different space that had been split—despite the fact that my items were already in a suitable unit that met the same criteria. This caused significant, avoidable physical effort, wasted time, and frustration. The issue here was not availability or policy, but a failure to apply basic logic and flexibility. I was not attempting to occupy a unit without paying or bypass procedures—I was simply continuing to rent space that I was already using. The insistence on moving everything, rather than handling the transition administratively, demonstrates poor problem-solving and customer service. I am extremely disappointed with how this was handled and expect this feedback to be taken seriously. This experience has significantly impacted my perception of your facility, and I hope corrective steps are taken to ensure future customers are not subjected to similar unnecessary inconvenience.

My experience with storage facilities is limited, but here is what I’ve learned. Around Sudbury, Val Caron, and Hanmer, the quality of storage options can vary widely depending on how each business defines “secure” or “well-maintained.” For example, based on my personal experience, I would not recommend MovingOnExpress; the facility is outdated, poorly maintained, unprofessional and located in an area that didn’t inspire any confidence at all. Mini Storage is a much better option—clean, secure, and with reliable self-access. I seriously considered it, but ultimately needed something located closer to town for personal reasons. From what I’ve seen, Access Storage is the strongest option in Sudbury for anyone who can fit it into their budget. At roughly $150–$200 per month, it strikes me as fair for the level of cleanliness, structure, and security they provide. The facility is modern, well-kept, and, in my opinion, the most dependable choice in the area. I do recommend this business. I’m giving it 4 stars—I would have given 5 if they had a water fountain or vending machines.
