Absolutely horrible experience, impossible to rent anywhere from Sutton to Montreal, Saint-Hubert was the only spot that had a truck. Told us to come pick it up at 10am little did I know they said the exact same thing to 20 other people.
They don’t have the bandwidth to accommodate that much traffic.
Plus there is no where to leave your car??
Honestly so disappointing that companies like this keep getting away with bad management and shady company values.
Save yourself the trouble go look at Enterprise or Home Depot
The customer service was awful. They were rude and unprofessional, not just with me but with everyone else in the line. I wouldn’t recommend coming here unless YOU’RE patient and handle well childish behaviour.
They only accept credit cards, just in case anyone wanted to pay with debit or cash.
The pm staff when we brought back the truck seemed a lot nicer and more professional.
Go to another location if you can.
I rarely give 1⭐️ because I believe very few businesses deserve it, but this one does, and I'm referring to this specific location, u-haul in general is awesome. This is the first time I go to a u-haul and they block the driveway with orange cones without any signage explaining why. I saw 2 cars parked on the side of the road getting tickets while I was trying to understand how to get in the parking lot. Only to have a grumpy old man come and yell at me that I have to go park down the street and come back with the car when I have a contract In hands. I obeyed, parked down the street, walked all the way with my 3 years old daughter, just to get in there to witness a verbal fight between a manager and a client. Waiting approximately 20 minutes in the lineup and nobody was going through, I abandoned, canceled my reservation and went to montreal notre-dame street u-haul to get a trailer, which I got instantly. This was my 2nd bad experience at St-Hubert U-Haul, 2/2. Never going back there.
I’d recommend being cautious when booking online, as the system doesn’t seem to reflect what the shop actually has scheduled.
I booked a hitch installation for 7:00 PM and drove to the location, only to be told that my appointment didn’t exist in their system. What made it even more frustrating is that I received an email just hours before the appointment with instructions on how to prepare for the installation.
This disconnect between the booking system and the actual shop experience wasted my time and was avoidable.
I’m open to updating this review if the team reaches out and works to resolve the situation in a professional and courteous way.
