I did phone yesterday about the availability of the locker at Mini storage on Terminal street. I was assured that there were a couple of units available. I was given an appointment at 1:30 pm today.
To make my story short, I went there and the receptionist saw me. Beforehand I opened my mouth, she told me that the unit was taken and none of them are available. That is very competitive to get a unit there. She asked about my information and I refused because I see that she is just wasting my time. She became very aggressive and yelled at me to clear the facility. She also bragged how she knew other units around here. I just ignored her and walked away. Racism is still real in Vancouver and that's messed up.
They have different options and good deals! (The price it is ad hoc with the space) I chose the perfect size for my stuff and the staff were pretty friendly and professional
They are always great for saving my tools and equipment for my work, also the lady that works there is really kind! Been a client for months and I am still happy with their service!
When I first began using this facility in 2010, it was worthy of positive reviews. After a change in ownership some years ago, this is no longer the case. On arriving to make a quarterly payment last November, I noticed a large hole bashed into the side of my wooden storage locker. The attendant offered several explanations--none of which were convincing--and finally settled on one that was plausible, namely that another tenant must have inadvertently torn through the locker's wall while carrying a ladder. The problem isn't this mishap in itself, but that I wasn't informed of it and no one could tell me when it had occurred. Since my space had been insecure for an unspecified period of time between one and three months, I split the difference and requested a rebate of six weeks on a future payment. Local management spoke to the owner (apparently offshore) who conveyed his refusal, so I said that I would get legal advice. Soon after, an eviction notice arrived in the mail. Unlike residential property owners, a storage space landlord may evict "without cause", so leaving was the only option. However, the attendant let slip that I was evicted for having "threatened legal action". Avoid this business. Its ethics are a train wreck.
It is not fancy but gets the job done. The team is supportive, the location perfect and the price is the best! Always full so, getting a spot is a matter of luck!
I just moved all my things out of my storage yesterday and feel the need to promote Main Street Mini. It was a challenging year for me and they were pleasant, easy to work with and my move out was fun. Defiantly recommend!
